NIMH BATTERIES

When choosing a battery for your airsoft gun, it is important to consider three key factors. Firstly, the plug type which determines how the battery will connect to your gun. There are three main types of plugs: Small Type Tamiya, Large Type Tamiya, and Deans. Small Type Tamiya is the most common and comes with a retention clip for a secure connection, while Large Type Tamiya is used for larger capacity batteries and full stock guns. Deans plugs are favored among experienced airsoft players as they offer the best battery-to-gun connection and can even increase the rate of fire in some cases.

Secondly, consider the voltage of the battery as it directly impacts the rate of fire of your AEG. Batteries with higher voltage result in higher rate of fire, and most guns can operate with either 8.4V or 9.6V batteries, with 9.6V batteries providing maximum rate of fire.

Lastly, the capacity of the battery is determined by the mAh rating, which shows how long the battery will last. The higher the mAh rating, the longer the battery will last between charges.
